Join with us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We begin with our Christmas Vigil Family Mass at 6:00pm that features our youth reenacting the birth of Christ along with our youth choir and lectors. This is a Mass for children of all ages to attend.
Our Midnight Mass is preceded by an hour of Christmas carols and songs from our music ministry which begins at 11:00pm. Having this first of the Christmas Masses in the middle of the night is an old custom in the Church and is full of significance. In the first place it corresponds with the traditional belief that Christ was born at midnight. Secondly, from the material darkness around us, we are reminded of the spiritual darkness in the world which only Christ the Light can dispel.
The next Mass of Christmas Day is at 10:00am because the Church does not stop rejoicing after one or even two special Masses.
O’Come, O’ Come Emmanuel!!
